Sonixa IPTV Buffering or Not Working? 9 Fixes That Work

Updated October 2026 · Sonixa IPTV support team · fixes for buffering, black screens and login errors

The short answer

Most Sonixa IPTV buffering comes from the home network, not the servers. Restart the router and the device, connect by Ethernet, and try the HD copy of the channel. If one specific channel still fails while others play, send us its name — that one is ours to fix.

First: is it one channel or all of them?

This single question saves the most time. One channel failing usually means its source is down — tell support. Everything stuttering points to the connection or the device, and the fixes below are for you.

The nine fixes, in order

  1. Restart the router and the device. Unplug both for thirty seconds. Routers that run for months slow down.
  2. Use Ethernet. A cable, or a Fire TV Ethernet adapter, removes most evening freezes in one move.
  3. Move to 5 GHz Wi-Fi. If a cable is impossible, use the 5 GHz network and keep the router in the same room.
  4. Choose the HD or FHD copy. 4K needs about 25 Mbps for that one screen, all evening.
  5. Clear the player cache. On Fire TV and Android: Settings → Applications → your player → Clear cache (not “clear data”).
  6. Change the buffer size. In the player’s settings, set the buffer to medium or large for sport.
  7. Change DNS. Set the device or router to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8. Some providers’ DNS is slow to resolve streaming servers.
  8. Try the VPN option. If buffering only happens at certain hours, your internet provider may be throttling streams. Ask us how to use the VPN included in your plan.
  9. Check for a second viewer. One connection plays on one screen. If someone else uses your login, both streams cut out.

How to read a speed test properly

Run the test on the device that plays Sonixa IPTV, at the hour you usually watch, not on your phone at lunchtime.

Evening speed on the TV What to expect
Under 10 Mbps HD channels only; expect occasional pauses
15–25 Mbps FHD smooth on one screen
25–50 Mbps 4K on one screen, or FHD on two
50 Mbps and more 4K on two screens with headroom

Other common errors

  • Login failed: re-paste the server URL with http:// and the port; check the line has not expired.
  • Black screen with sound: switch the player to its alternative decoder (in Smarters: VLC player).
  • No TV guide: refresh the EPG in settings, and give the first load a few minutes.
  • Films missing: you added the M3U link; sign in with Xtream Codes instead.

Frequently asked questions

Evenings are when your home network and your internet provider are busiest. Ethernet, the FHD copy of a channel and, if your provider throttles, the VPN option usually fix it.

If every channel fails on two different devices and your internet works, message support with a photo of the error and we check the servers immediately.

Only if your evening speed on the TV is below about 25 Mbps for 4K or 15 Mbps for FHD. Often Wi-Fi, not the plan, is the limit.

Yes. Send your username and the channel that fails; we can see whether the line is connected and whether the source is healthy.
