The short answer
Turn on developer options, install Downloader, use it to install IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate, then sign in with the Xtream Codes login we send you. It takes about ten minutes the first time and works on every current Fire TV device.
What you need before you start
- A Fire TV Stick, Stick 4K, 4K Max or Fire TV Cube, connected to the internet.
- Your Sonixa IPTV login: a server URL, a username and a password. If you do not have one yet, ask for the free 24-hour trial.
- Ideally an Ethernet adapter for the Stick. It is the single biggest improvement you can make for live sport.
Step 1 — switch on developer options
Amazon only lets you install apps from outside its store once developer options are visible.
- Open Settings → My Fire TV → About.
- Highlight your device name and press the select button seven times. A message confirms you are now a developer.
- Go back one screen, open Developer options and turn on Install unknown apps for Downloader (older models call it Apps from Unknown Sources).
Step 2 — install Downloader
Use the search icon on the home screen, type Downloader and install the orange app by AFTVnews. Open it once and allow it to access your files. Downloader is simply a small browser that can save and install app files.
Step 3 — install the player
Sonixa IPTV is not an app: it is a line that plays inside a player app. On Fire TV the two best players are:

In Downloader, type the download code we include in your Sonixa IPTV message, press Go, then Install. When it finishes, choose Delete to remove the install file and free space — the app itself stays.
Step 4 — sign in with your Sonixa IPTV login
- Open the player and choose Login with Xtream Codes API (in TiviMate: Add playlist → Xtream Codes).
- Name the profile Sonixa, then enter the server URL exactly as we sent it, including
http://and the port number. - Enter the username and password. They are case-sensitive.
- Confirm. The first load downloads the channel list, the film and series catalogue and the TV guide; give it a minute.
Step 5 — three settings worth changing
- Hide countries you never watch. In Smarters: Settings → Live TV categories. A shorter list scrolls much faster on a Stick.
- Set the buffer to medium. Too small and sport stutters, too large and channels start slowly.
- Update the EPG once a day. Both apps can do it automatically at start-up.
If something does not work
“Invalid login” almost always means a typing error in the server URL or a capital letter in the password — copy and paste from our message where you can. If channels load but freeze, start with the nine buffering fixes. And if you are stuck on any screen, send a photo of it to Sonixa IPTV support on WhatsApp.

No. Sonixa IPTV is a subscription line, not an app. You install a player such as IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate and sign in to it with your Sonixa IPTV login.
No. Enabling developer options and installing a player through Downloader is a normal Fire TV feature. Nothing is modified on the device.
The Fire TV Stick 4K Max or the Cube. They have more memory, faster Wi-Fi 6 and handle 4K channels and large channel lists more smoothly than the basic Stick.
You can install it on both, but one connection plays on one screen at a time. Add a second connection to your plan if both will be used at once.
